The hand I was dealt

Patientory is a medical-tech startup focused on storing and transferring EHRs (electronic health records) and EMRs (electronic medical records) between healthcare organizations via a decentralized blockchain, while giving patients the ability to manage their health through a mobile application and cryptocurrency.

The MVP release led to being presented at HIMSS (the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society), which increased investment from both the medical and crypto communities.

The team also gained valuable insights regarding patients' preferences for using cryptocurrency in their accounts to buy medication refills and cover future appointment expenses.

My contributions

  • Designed an Ethereum-blockchain B2B2C healthcare mobile application to securely transfer patient EMR data.
  • Created and implemented a comprehensive style guide and deliverables while conducting user and product research and defining product requirements.
  • Facilitated discovery sessions for patient validation, strategic product iterations, user flows, and design sprints, resulting in the successful release of an MVP.

Because of the confidentiality requirements outlined in Patientory's NDA, I'm unable to share any artifacts displaying Patientory's data in this case study.
